Whether it’s building a solar system, participating in Blackout Day, or creatively tackling food waste – MYBLUEPLANET’s action days make climate protection tangible. They promote conscious handling of energy, food, and consumption. They motivate students of all levels to think and act.
These activities involve the entire school and have an impact beyond the day: they inspire curriculum development, initiate projects on the school grounds, and strengthen the school community in its collective commitment to a sustainable future. In this way, Education for Sustainable Development becomes real – exactly where it can have the greatest impact.
With the JSZ campaign, schools make a visible statement for climate protection – together with parents, local businesses, and political representatives. Donations are collected via crowdfunding and directly invested in school climate projects.
The Climate School team at MYBLUEPLANET ensures strong visibility through professional storytelling in news articles, on social media, and in regional and national media coverage. Each school receives custom-designed flyers, posters, and a dedicated project website.
JSZ reaches beyond school boundaries and strengthens community cohesion – for a climate-friendly future that counts.
The Climate Council is the participatory flagship of the Climate School. Here, students take responsibility for climate action at their school – supported by one or two teachers. They bring in their own ideas, decide on projects, and manage the budget of the Climate Fund, which is filled via the JSZ crowdfunding campaign.
Whether sustainable infrastructure, action days or new projects – the Climate Council ensures that climate protection is not just a topic, but a lived reality. Student participation fosters identity, initiative, and makes change visible.
This makes participation tangible – with impact on the school, the community, and the future.
